8/26/2008	The STAR Test Results program has been modified to support the 2008 Data File Layout. Major changes have been made to this program that will now load three separate files. All three files MUST be loaded into Aeries. 6/27/2008	The Assertive Discipline form now includes three tabs - the General, Additional Info and Expulsion tabs. The General tab contains the exact same information as the old form. The new "Additional Info" tab displays the newly added discipline fields. The new Expulsions tab will display information from the new EXP table. 6/23/2008	The Client Server rollover process has had many enhancements in this update. There is a new pre-rollover audit report, available from the New Year Cycle. 6/20/2008	The Special Education Data form has been modified to include a new tab that contains the new “Infant” fields required by the State. The General Information tab contains the new "Participation CAHSEE" fields in addition to the other new participation fields added previously. 6/13/2008	Create CSIS Data Files - adjusted the Identifier Request, Enrollment Update, and Annual Maintenance extracts to support Data Dictionary 9. Also adjusted the Enrollment Update and Annual Maintenance extracts from the school level to honor the Student CSIS Home School field.

6/13/2008	The CELDT Pre-ID Process has been updated for the 2008-09 CELDT Record Layout (Version 1.3). While there were minimal changes or new data requirements for the PRE-ID data loaded into the CELDT file, it is still suggested that you verify your data in the PCT table prior to creating the CELDT file. Also, new enhancements have been made to the CELDT Pre-ID form to make it like the other Per-Id forms. 5/23/2008	The Class Rank and Size calculation has been enhanced to allow students within the same grade to be ranked separately from other students in the same grade or not at all, based on their graduation tracks. Setup for this process occurs in the Update COD Table form where you can define what graduation tracks should be ranked together, or not at all. 5/23/2008	The CAHSEE Pre-ID Process has been updated for the 2008-09 record layout. There were minor changes with the new layout that included adding a new field to flag Post Grade 12 flag students in the pre-id file. This flag will indicate the students that have met all graduation requirements but have not passed the CAHSEE test. The ESEA Title 1 field has been deleted from the record layout and will no longer be available on the form.

5/16/2008	This update includes a new Fitness.MDB however there are no changes according to the state layout. This is a copy of the State of California's database for the spring of 2008. We added new fields to the Physical Fitness Table (PFT) that are not state reported fields but used to determine if a student has passed the Physical Fitness Test. According to the State a student must meet the Healthy Fitness Zone in 5 out of 6 categories in order to pass. New fields will display on the Physical Fitness Test Results form. The Body Mass Index and Walk Test fields are calculated fields that are utilized in calculating the new Pass Status field.	Physical Fitness 2008

5/2/2008	McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Funding – is a New District report that will provide totals for active students that are flagged in the Homeless Program (SSD.HMT) field. This report will allow you to specify which schools and special attendance programs will be used in the calculation. An option is also available that will allow you to select a specific grade level that will be calculated into the report for Pre-Kindergarten students. The report will default to be generated as a summary report but does have the option to be generated as a detail report. The detail report will print every student included in the calculation. 4/25/2008	The Golden State Seal Merit Diploma form will allow you to generate a report for all 12th grade students who qualify for the Golden State Seal Merit Diploma. This report can be generated for students in any or all grade levels to determine the remaining requirements that must be met for a student to qualify as well as generated for individual students selected on the form. The calculations for this report will default to use the CST test and specific part numbers that are available in the Testing Control Table for each Qualifying Exam but will allow you to select specific part numbers to be used in this calculation. 4/25/2008	The Off Campus Pass and Re-admit Slip are new attendance reports that can print from a receipt printer that is 2.75” wide or can also be printed on a laser printer. The Re-Admit program will locate the last date the student has an attendance record entered. A date range will display and default to this date. This attendance record will print along with specific student information. The Off Campus Pass can print notes from the Attendance Notes form indicating the student has permission to be off campus. A Time to Leave and Approval field can display on the Attendance Note form for specific codes. The Attendance Notes codes (ATN.CD) must be setup with a 1.00 entered in the Amount field from Update Code Table form.	Re-Admit Slip and Off Campus Pass

4/25/2008	The Letters to Parents form and report have undergone extensive enhancements, including an option to display class totals instead of period (for A/B Days and M-W-F type classes), and to combine All-Day and Period codes for counts. The Letter Text Editor will allow fields to be added into the letter from STU or any one-to-one STU-related table (SUP, SSD, IMM, LAC, CSE). 4/11/2008	Carl Perkins Report – the Carl Perkins 101-E2 is a new summary report that can be generated from the Carl Perkins form. This report will include only 12th Grade students that were reported as Vocational Completers on the Carl Perkins 101-E1 report generated in October. Four new fields have been added to the SSD table to store data from Student Surveys that indicates whether these students are now Active Duty in the Military, engaged in further education, or employed full time or part time and if so is it related to their field of study. This data from the survey is used for calculating the various column totals on this report.	Carl Perkins 101-E2 Report

2/29/2008	The Individualized Academic Plan is a new form which is the first step towards the development of our new Individualized Academic Plan module. This new form will assist Districts with planning out each student’s academic plan and will allow Users to enter future course requests. These course requests will be stored in a new Academic Plan Course Requests (APC) table. Any changes made to a student’s future course request plan will be logged in a new Academic Plan Log (APL) table.	Individualized Academic Plan

2/4/2008	The Aeries Browser Interface now has the capability to enter Physical Fitness Test Results! There is a new setup form in Aeries that allows School and or District administrators to specify which tests are being given each year. Data entry through ABI and/or Aeries (which still also supports scanning) will only allow data entered into these fields.	Physical Fitness Enhancements

1/25/2008	Major enhancements have been made to Student Assessment Definitions. Assessments can now be created using the CST table. Also, assessments created using the TST table can now have performance level indicators setup for each grade level. The Quick Report can now be generated limiting by Grade and has five new sort options. The Setup option has the ability to select custom color layouts based on assessment performance levels. The custom color layouts will allow assessment performance levels to be printed in color on the Print Student Assessment Summary.

1/15/2008	The Aeries Browser Interface now allows for students to be able to turn in their assignments online. Students just need to be given permissions to upload files to ABI in the ABI Options application, then teachers can turn on the option for an assignment to "Allow Drop Box." Note - the File Upload feature is only available for AeriesCS districts.

11/21/2007	The STAR Pre-ID Process has been updated for the 2007-08 STAR record layout and rules (dated 10/05/2007). There have been changes for new data requirements for the PRE-ID data that will be loaded into the STAR file. So please check over your data in the PRE table carefully. 11/9/2007	The 2007-2008 CELDT file can now be loaded into Aeries. A new test part (part 7) has been added to store a new flag that indicates whether the student has “Met the CELDT Criterion” and will be loaded into Raw Score. The flag will either be a 1 for “Met CELDT Criterion” or 0 for “Not Met CELDT Criterion”.	Import_Fixed_Length_File

11/2/2007	We have added an additional tab to the Students form for Secondary Student Data that was previously on the Supplemental Form. Also, we have created a new form for Miscellaneous Student Data (Activities/Awards, Authorizations/Prohibitions, Record Access Log, and Rejoinders), and placed a link to it on the Students form (letter M). This step completes this round of redesigns of the Students form, and returns the Supplemental form to its original purpose – showing the District’s user defined data.

10/12/2007	We have created a new District ASAM Enrollment Summary report that lists all students enrolled 90 days or more in selected (Alternative) Schools.

10/5/2007	We have redesigned the Students form adding tabs for Basic Student Data and Other Student Data, making access to and entry of this information even easier! We will be adding additional tabs in the near future.

10/5/2007	Mass Update Test Records is a new form that will provide the capability of calculating a true percent correct and storing it in the TST.PR field. This form can be utilized to calculate a percentage when one is not provided in state test results or can also be used to re-calculate percentages out to 4 decimal places. The data used for these calculations will be stored in the new Testing Number Possible (TNP) table which is accessible from a tab on the Testing Control Table form.	Mass Update Test Records

9/28/2007	Create CSIS Data Files forms (SCH and DST) have been updated to accurately extract data for the CSIS Fall 2007 submissions of the Fall Submission and the Annual Maintenance.

9/28/2007	The CAHSEE Test Results program has been modified to support the 2007 Data File Layout and can now be loaded into Aeries. The change to the layout included loading a performance level for parts 1 & 21. Also, all test modifications will now be loaded into the TEX table.

9/28/2007	Aeries Control Panels have now been enhanced to include easy access to valuable programs and reports. New buttons have been added to the form. The SCH version includes a NEW Testing and Assessment form and access to Standards Based Grade Reporting at the Elementary level. The DST version now has buttons for the Staff, Teachers, Courses, Attendance Data and Testing and Assessment forms.

9/14/2007	Standards Based Grade Reporting now allows Elementary Schools that use a Master Schedule to set up standards with courses linked to them. With this information configured, when creating/updating the Standards Based Grade table the “pull-out” teacher will be assigned to the standards that are associated with the course that they teach. The students’ primary teacher will continue to be assigned to all standards except for those that are assigned to the pull-out course. A new table (SBR – Standards Based Courses) has been added to store these course/standards links. 9/13/2007	The Aeries Browser Interface now has the ability for Teachers, Counselors, and Counselor-Style Accounts to view or edit the Counseling, Visitation, Dental, Interventions, Retentions, and Fees and Fines tables. Students and Parents can also have read-only access to these tables. These tables join the other editable student-related tables of Discipline (DIS), Immunizations, Medical Events, Medical History, Hearing, Vision, Physicals, and Scoliosis tables. 8/17/2007	The STAR Test Results program has been modified to support the 2007 Data File Layout. Due to key fields such as testing grade now being placed in the REC2 file, it must be loaded first. In addition to the CST, CAT-6 and CAPA test scores, there is also the EAP status and a new STS test (Standards-based Tests in Spanish). EAP will load when selecting CSTs and CAT/6. 8/3/2007	Major adjustments to the CAHSEE Pre Identification have been made. They include processing on continuous enrolled from last year's CBEDS day through the current school year. Additional details can be found in the accompanying document.	CAHSEE Pre ID Changes for 2007

8/3/2007	GATE is a now a new form in Aeries. This is an area to track all aspects of the GATE process on a student: from referral to evaluation to final approval and eligbility tracking.	GATE Information Form

7/20/2007	We have updated the School form with 15 new fields. These include new fields for open/close dates, zip extn, and 8 user codes. There is also a new loc rule added that will allow each District to determine its own default gender code - including one of blank! This will assist with data entry and CSIS Id accuracy!

7/12/2007	Scheduling – modifications have been made to the Student Scheduling Setup form that now gives you the capability to inactivate the SMS table once it has been rolled over and has updated the MST table. Inactivating the SMS table will restrict users from making any scheduling changes from the Scheduling programs. Master Schedule – modifications have also been made when scheduling for the current year and adding a section the next highest section number will be selected based on the section numbers in both the MST and the SMS. This will keep the assigned section numbers in synch between the SMS and MST tables.

7/12/2007	The CSIS Periodic Enrollment Update Extract now has an option to Include Address Information. This option is for districts participating in the Direct Certification process for NSLP students. Using this option for the Periodic EU extract will create a DEMO file with the address information to go along with the ENRA file.

6/22/2007	We have changed the CELDT Pre-Identification Form to match the new 2007-2008 Version 4.0 record layout. An enhancement to the form includes the capability to increase the grade loaded into the PCT table by 1. The District version has been modified to allow specific schools to be selected that will now only load students from these schools. 6/15/2007	The CAHSEE Pre-ID Process has been updated for the 2007-08 record layout and rules. This includes processing the new State Disability codes and or converting the old ones to new.

6/1/2007	The CSIS Periodic Enrollment Update Extract has been built into Aeries. It is now included as an option on the Create CSIS Data Files form from a school or district level.

6/1/2007	The Aeries Scheduler now supports a new option to Balance Academic Weight between terms. For schools running a 4x4 schedule, this option will ensure that students will not be scheduled into too many difficult classes during a single term while another term has a lot of classes with a lighter academic load.

6/1/2007	ABI for AeriesCS districts now has the capability to Upload and manage files directly through ABI. This will allow teachers to upload files directly through ABI and will have access to those files to associate with Gradebook Assignments and Calendar Events. Students and Parents logging into the system will also have the ability to download and view these files.

5/11/2007	We have created a new report that shows the Standards Based Grade History of a student as well as the Enrollment History, and Contact information for the Student.	Elementary Academic Record

2/23/2007	The Student Language Census report has been enhanced and now generates totals for Part 1 and Part 2 of the Spring Language Census reporting (R30). Also, previously this report was only available to Schools but can now be generated from the District which will calculate totals for each school that has Language Assessment (LAC) data available in the district database. 2/2/2007	We have modified the design of the Courses form and added 16 new fields. These fields include 8 User Codes, a Board Adoption Date, Last Revision Date and Type, Inactive Date, Academic Weight, Max Seats and two fields for Meets Algebra I Requirement. The Academic Weight, Max Seats and Algebra I fields are not yet utilized by any other program in Aeries, but are there for initial population.

1/22/2007	We have created a new form called: Import CASEMIS Extract that will allow Districts that use a third party application for CASEMIS reporting to quickly and easily import their Special Ed data into Aeries! The form imports the STUDENT and SERVICES text files (.TXT or .CSV formats), and allows matching on ID as well as CSIS Id and even Social Security Number as the third party application and Aeries may not use the same Id. There have been several changes to the new PRE-ID data, so please check over your data in the PHE table very carefully. NEW reports are also now available from this form which are the CAHSEE Pre-ID Validate and Summary reports. 12/1/2006	Special Education – the modifications to the CASEMIS extract for December 2006 have been completed. The Macro: “Create CASEMIS STUDENT File” has been modified, setting default dates and folder names for 2006-07. We have added all of the new fields required by CASEMIS to the STUDENT.TXT & SERVICES.TXT extracts.

11/10/2006	We have updated the Elementary with Master Schedule process to automate the link between attendance home period and the Student's attendance teacher number. The Student Class Schedules form has been changed so that when a section is added (for the attendance home period) the form will now update the Students teacher number. If the student is already enrolled in attendance the Attendance Change form will display to update the attendance enrollment record.

10/6/2006	The 2006-2007 CELDT record layout has been added to the Aeries Import Fixed Length Files form and will now allow the importing of the latest CELDT scores into the Test Scores (TST) table.

9/29/2006	CAHSEE Test Results for the 2006-2007 school year can now be loaded into Aeries. We have added the ability to load and update Accommodations and Modifications into the Aeries Testing Exclusions table (TEX). Once approved by the District these can now also print on the CAHSEE status report with 'Requirements Met" or on the Transcript with "Reg Met" instead of Passed.

9/22/2006	We have added a "Lock Attendance Month" option to Aeries. This option is only available to Administrative users and will restrict all users from updating attendance within a locked month. Of course an Administrator can also unlock a month if necessary.

9/22/2006	The Aeries Special Education Data forms have been redesigned adding tabs for General Information, Student Services, Discipline Data, Transition Information, IEP Status, and Comments. There are a total of 18 new fields in the CSE-table, as well as a new Student Services table (CSV) that combines the old DIS & Infants Services tables (CSE & CSI). 9/1/2006	The Import Fixed Length Files program has now been modified to support the new 2006 Aprenda Data File Layout. Due to issues with the files created by the testing vendor that were sent to various districts we had to create two different record layouts which are called APRN306A and APRN306B. The easiest way to determine the difference between these two layouts is to look at your printed copy of the data file layout. If FINAL: April 2006 is printed on the front cover you will want to load APRN306A. If Revision B: 080406 is printed in the right hand corner of page 3 you will want to load APRN306B.

8/25/2006	No Show Setup is a new form available to security-level users allowing a school to pre-define what status tags count as "No Show" (i.e. "N"), and what steps to take when a student is tagged as a No Show. These options include dropping Lockers, Course Requests, Sections, and Course Attendance automatically. Attendance/Enrollment data will be automatically deleted. There is also an option to require the user to enter a Summer Withdrawal Reason (STU.SWR).	No Show Setup Options

8/9/2006	The STAR Test Results program has been modified to support the 2006 Data File Layout which is now broken out into two separate files. The REC1 file contains the STAR test scores and the REC2 file contains Accommodations & Modifications records. Major enhancements have been made to the STAR Test Results Form which allows the CST, CAT-6 and CAPA test scores to be loaded into the STAR table along with the Accommodations/Modifications records. When the update process completes the test scores will be loaded into the TST and CST tables and the Accommodations/Modifications records will be updated into the TEX table. A new Report button has also been added to the form which allows a Duplicate Record report to be generated that can also include Unmatched Records which will assist with matching STAR records. 6/30/2006	We have added the ability to store Attendance notes within Aeries. Attendance Notes is a new form accessible from the Period Attendance form's calendar view section. There is now a small 'envelope' to the left of each date, that will show in red to indicate a note already exists for a particular date. Clicking on an envelope opens the Attendance Notes form for that student and date. A student can be given multiple Notes on any given day. There is also a radio button at the bottom of the form that allows you to show ALL Attendance Notes for all dates for the student displayed. Since the notes are stored in a separate table (ATN), Query can be used to view all notes, or ones with a particular code value or date.	Attendance_Notes

3/29/2006	Numerous attendance-related enhancements and modifications have been released in this version. Also, both the Daily and Period Monthly Attendance Cycle forms have increased in size and now contain a total of 30 buttons each, allowing additional reports such as the Attendance Audit Listing and the New Letters to Parents form to be included. 3/3/2006	A new feature has been added to the Student Testing form that allows you to view all testing data at one time. This includes standards tests, testing exceptions, and records kept in the generic testing table. The new form also now displays 3 tabs that allow schools to define custom views of tests selected. This form is user specific meaning each user can choose which custom view they would like displayed and will have quick access to their most used reporting data. Also, Student Assessment now allows the customization for the definitions of the five level rubrics. This allows total control over each key, allowing different labels for each key, if desired. 2/24/2006	The Letters to Parents program generates attendance letters for students. A record can now be stored for each student receiving a letter in both the Letter Log and Letter Audit tables. The Letter Log form will display information about the letter and Letter Audit will display an exact replica of the attendance data that prompted each student to receive each letter. 11/21/2005	CAHSEE Test Results for the 2005-2006 school year can now be loaded into Aeries. We have redesigned the form to be larger and added a new “Info” button. This will allow users the ability to access up the minute information directly from our web site for any Pre-Id and Test load modifications that we are developing. This will save numerous phone calls to see when we will be releasing those updates for CAHSEE, STAR, CELDT, SABE, etc…

11/3/2005	Print Content Standard Scores By Section/New is a new report that allows the user to print the California Content Standards Scores by section - showing all students in the class and their results horizontally. This will allow teachers to quickly determine where a student scored in the different strands of the test, and compare results to their classmates.

10/28/2005	Our main laser transcript has been redesigned to show additional information as well as now allowing multiple transcript definitions! 10/28/2005	The Student Data form now allows for the customization of the User Code headings. We have added a Quick Contact button as well as a Special Programs button. Also, for Client Server Districts this and other select forms now support explicit field level deny permissions through SQL Server.

10/7/2005	We have just released our new Letters to Parents forms and reports - new multipurpose letters (tables, forms and reports). Currently they are only designed for use with attendance (i.e. SARB, Truancy). Which absence codes to count towards each letter are user-defined, as is the number of codes required to receive each letter part. A sequence of letters can be reset, similar to the Absent/Tardy letters, with each student’s "received" letters stored in the Letter Log table. These letters are not intended to replace the existing Absent/Tardy letters, but have that ability if desired. 9/30/2005	This year there were no major changes to the way that CBEDS will be processed in Aeries. However there were some enhancements made to the CBEDS reports. The Print CBEDS Enrollment for Vocational Education Enrollment will not include ROC/P courses tagged with code 30 in the Course Type (TY) field. The Print CBEDS Teachers and Courses report will now print the social security number from the Staff table instead of the teacher table. The option has also been added to print the Staff ID instead of the social security number. Total boys and girls will now print and the report will skip any inactive sections. The option has also been added to exclude T/A’s courses. The Print Teacher (CBEDS) Class Information can now be printed by teacher name or teacher number. 9/15/2005	The CSIS Enrollment Update files can now be extracted using the Create CSIS Data Files form from either the school level or the district level. 9/2/2005	As part of Eagle Software’s goal to provide NCLB compliant applications, we have previously enhanced the multi-mark Grade Reporting (GRD) process to include up to 12 marks (which can include Progress Reporting marks). We also previously added the Grades History (GRH) table to store complete information for all prior marking periods. This information is available for review months or years later. As the old single mark Progress Reporting (PRG) process could not provide this level of information or accountability, it has been discontinued by Eagle Software effective September 1st, 2005. The ability to view and print individual Student’s old Progress Reporting data in previous year’s databases is still available through View All Forms and View All Reports, but the Progress Reporting Cycle form and the ability to start a new Progress Reporting cycle have been removed.

7/15/2005	We have changed the CAHSEE Pre-Identification Form to match the new 2005-2006 record layout.

7/1/2005	Query has undergone a major overhaul. The form is now larger. This accommodates more viewable tables and fields. There is a new Special Functions section. This form now supports the Query Change Security settings to limit the use of the CHANGE command and CHANGE form. All KEEP/SKIP statements are now logged and displayed at the bottom of the form where a new button is located to roll back the last KEEP/SKIP statement. Additionally, the last KEEP/SKIP statement can be automatically applied when Aeries starts by running the KEEP/SKIP statement and then clicking on the new button called STARTUP. The Startup KEEP/SKIP is saved for each user in the database.

7/1/2005	Query Labels/Advanced is a new report that runs off of the Query LABELS button. This report allows the user to define custom label sizes to accommodate labels other than Avery 5160.

4/29/2005	Staff Form - Now supports a new process for pre-qualifying teachers who are highly qualified in specific NCLB Core Areas. 4/29/2005	Courses Form - There are four new fields added to the Courses form which are the NCLB Core Area 1, NCLB Core Area 2, Content Standard Area and the Course Content Group. The Content Standard Area field will pull the Content Standard Thread that this course focuses on from the CSN table and the Course Content Group is used to find repeated courses of the same content. 3/4/2005	The scheduler now has some ability to determine what course is scheduled and what course is rejected when there is a conflict between two courses. Any course that is marked as Non Academic in the N/A field of the Courses Form, or any course that is marked N in the NCLB Core field of the Courses Form will be rejected in favor of any course that is not marked in this way. This allows some "priority scheduling" to be accomplished. Courses will have a lower priority if they are Non Academic and/or not an NCLB Core course.

1/28/2005	There is a new form in Aeries called Define Required Fields for Data Entry. This new form allows schools to define which fields on certain forms are required to be entered when doing data entry on that form. Once a field is turned ON, anyone changing a record through that form will not be able to save the record until the complete set of data is filled in. The major forms in Aeries already support this feature and more forms will come shortly. There is also a tab on this form that will allow schools to define which dropdown box fields on the above forms will limit the data population to the values in the dropdown list. 1/14/2005	Course Request Packets is a new form that will allow the creation of "packets" of courses based on common students course requests (9th Regular, 10th Honors, 11th Track A, etc.). Packets can then be assigned to students either through Class Scheduling (Scheduling Cycle form) or the "Switch" side of Student Classes (Students form)! Assigning a packet to a student outside of the packets grade-range will give a warning message, but still allow assignment.	Course Request Packets

12/17/2004	Import or Add Data to Aeries - We have released a new form that has a multitude of capabilities for bringing data into Aeries from other sources (as example Free & Reduced Meal [FRM] data). 12/17/2004	Standards Based Reportcard (Portrait) - A new version of the standards based reportcard that is flexible in paper size and uses a portrait layout as opposed to a landscape one. This report is designed to be extremely flexible and can grow to as many pages as necessary. You also have the ability to print on legal or letter sized paper.

11/24/2004	Special Education – the modifications to the CASEMIS extract for December 2004 have been completed. The Macro: “Create CASEMIS STUDENT File” has been modified, setting default dates and folder names for 2004-05. We have also added the three new fields from the Special Education Data form to the STUDENT.TXT extract text file: TRAN_SERV (CSE.TSE), MHS_ELIGIB (CSE.MEL), and MHS_LANG (CSE.ML). Also, we dropped the old WORKAB field. The STUDENT.TXT extract is now 218 characters per record, up from 215.

10/29/2004	Print Content Standard Scores by Section and Print Student Multi Data Profile are 2 new reports that greatly improve the ability for a school to assess student achievement and get that information into the hands of teachers. The Content Standard report is designed to print the content standard scores (CST) by section so teachers will know the details about their student's past achievement. The Multi Data Profile allows a school to put together information from any place in Aeries and assess students on multiple measures.

10/22/2004	The 2004 CELDT, 2004 CAPA, and 2004 EAP record layouts have been added to Aeries on the Import Fixed Length Files form to be able to import into the Test Scores (TST) table.

10/22/2004	The Query Change Form now works for AeriesCS districts. This form has also been modified to only display records that exist. This will prevent errors from occurring when data is attempted to be inserted into a table that doesn't have a record yet. This normally happens with the SUP, IMM, and FRM tables.

9/24/2004	Aeries has a new field to support UC/CSU Course Validations for the computation of UC/CSU Admissions Eligibility and Course Completions. 7/9/2004	The Language Assessment form and all related sub-forms have been enlarged. On the main form, we have added 5 User fields (LAC.U1 thru. LAC.U5), 2 follow up date fields (LAC.RD4 and LAC.RD5) and 4 day code fields (LAC.RC2 thru. LAC.RC5). We also added Control Tip Text for all of the fields on the Language Assessment form and sub-forms, so when you place a cursor on the field, you get the detailed description of the field and also the field/table name where its value is stored in your Aeries database.

6/25/2004	Aeries Client Server now allows districts to define which student related tables they want to be based on Permanent ID Number instead of by school code and student number. There is now a form in the AdminCS application that allows this. This will eliminate issues about student record being left behind at previous school sites when a student changes schools within the district.	Client Server Administration

6/18/2004	Enrolling all students in Attendance (ATT) will now automatically create the Course Attendance (CAR) table. Course Attendance is now automatically updated when students add, drop, or change classes. Course Attendance is the table that stores the dates when a student entered and left a class. Now on every form where a student's classes can be changed there is a "Course Attendance Date" (or sometimes just "CrsAttDt") that needs to be confirmed prior to any class schedules being changed.

6/4/2004	The Transcripts (laser printed versions) now have the ability to print Activities and Awards (ACT) data. This can be used to print out things like Total Community Service Hours. The ACT printing rules must be explicitly defined using the Define Tests to Print on Transcripts form.

The 12-mark datamailer is designed at 10cpi/6 lpi (like all of our other gereric reports/datamailers), so printer lineup should be much easier than with the old 11-mark datamailer, which this new report replaces!

5/7/2004	Aeries now has the ability to: Save or Restore Scheduling Results. This new form is used to save the current SMS and SSS tables, and to restore them later on if desired. Creates and updates a database named SAV------.MDB containing multiple saved SMS and SSS table pairs. Form shows list of available saved results, allows user to save more results, restore saved results, and delete saved results. Also added form to Scheduling Cycle form, and a new table usysSAV for displaying saved results on the new form.

5/7/2004	Standards Based Report cards now have the option to expand the comment fields to fill in and use any available space on the 3rd column of the report card not being used by standards.

4/26/2004	This update includes a new Fitness.MDB. This is a copy of the State of California's database for the spring of 2004. Aeries Physical Fitness forms will extract into this new format, as well as ask the user to input and or verify certain data the State is asking for, that Aeries may not store (like County Name and Charter School Number). 4/9/2004	Many of the main forms in Aeries have been modified to point at the Aeries.CHM help file, when the F1 (help) key is pressed. This file can be placed into the same directory as the schools database, or placed in a shared folder and pointed to using a new setting on the Aeries Variables for Current User form. Also, the control panel now shows non security users a link to our on-line help file.

3/23/2004	Aeries now has the ability to print the Student National Origin Report (SNOR) from both the school and the district version. 3/19/2004	Interactive Scheduling Master Schedule Builder - New form to create sections in SMS. Form is located in either "View All Forms" or a new "AddCrs" button from the "Scheduling Master Schedule Board" form. For a selected course, the form displays the total requests by grade level, a list of conflicts by period and term, and the option to enter the number of sections to add each period for the selected course. Has ability to input the same value for all sections in these fields: block, term, teacher, room, credit, sex, grade-range, sched grp, tag, track, split term, day tags, max, tch2, tch3 and MultiTchr. 2/20/2004	We have released a new Administrative application for the Client Server version of Aeries. AdminCS.MDE will now be included in the Client Server version of Aeries (UpdateCS.EXE). It will allow Client Server (Administrator) users to update their SQL databases directly, without having to run scripts from Query Analyzer. 2/20/2004	UPDATE.MDB has been modified to copy down the new AdminCS.MDE application when a newer version is found in the users updates path. It will also copy new DST and SCH versions if they are in need of updating! If a District user runs DST before SCH, both DST and SCH will get updated. If SCH is accessed first, only it will be updated. We also modified UPDATE.MDB for ALL users of Aeries, to not only properly update both DST and SCH for District users; but also when updating SCH, it will no longer copy Aeries.MDE into a folder it does not already exist in!

2/13/2004	Master Schedule/Scheduling Master Schedule Forms - Added the ability to move or copy some or all of the students when using the new "Copy" function! This will allow you to 'copy and go' - so you do NOT have to return to the old section! Also, "Copy" will now duplicate the period number, but have it highlighted so you can easily change it, if necessary. If no data is changed for the new section, and copying students, will warn that the students now have two classes that given period. Also added default value of "MTWTF" to "SplitTerm" field (on "Add").

2/6/2004	The Master Schedule/Scheduling Master Schedule Forms have been modified to NOT allow changes to key fields (PD,SM,TN,CN) or deletion of a section once the section exists in Course Attendance (CAR) or ABI Gradebook (GBE). This will not prevent changes when scheduling for next year. To make "rolling" a class safe and easy, we also added a "Copy" button, which will create an exact duplicate of the current section, except for the period. Once a valid period is assigned, a new section number is assigned. This was done to decrease the amount of data entry required for creating sections (i.e.: Mrs. Smith's 6 "English 9" classes). We have also created a new Macro (Find Mismatches between CAR and MST) to assist you in identifying any sections that have been changed that should not have been!

2/6/2004	The Medical - Immunizations form now highlights the immunizations that are required by California but not completed for a student according to that student's age and grade. There is also a new macro called Update Immunization Requirements Status that will go through all students and update the Requirements Met field in the IMM table for all students. It honors a KEEP/SKIP too. The immunizations that are covered are: Polio, DTP, MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella. 1/22/2004	The scheduler has been enhanced to better handle scheduling student groups and team scheduling (commonly referred to as Teams, Houses or Tribes). On the Students form, we have added a scheduling group field (STU.SG). On the Scheduling Master Schedule form, we added fields for scheduling group (SMS.SG), class group (SMS.CG) and team number (SMS.TM). Class group and team number are designed to replace the old process of dummy teacher numbers and group tags! 12/12/2003	The STAR Pre-ID Process has been updated for the 2004 STAR record layout and rules. There have been several changes in the new PRE-ID data, so you should check over your data in the PRE table very carefully. 11/21/2003	Special Ed form - made Large. Added new (actually revived) INFANT_SET (CSE.IS) field to form, as well as spread out existing fields. Made area for DIS Services larger, so can show up to eight records! Also updated COD-table in SCHMODEL.MDB with latest Special Ed codes per CASEMIS 2003-04 Database Structure with Codes. Remember, if you run the Macro "Update COD-table with latest Special Ed Codes" you can have all of the latest CASEMIS codes added to your COD-table automatically! Note: this does NOT effect your Special Ed User Codes.

11/7/2003	Aeries now has a form to interface with the Scantron Performance Series application. This form allows you to create the files for the Scantron Performance Series. This will enhance the ability for Aeries customers that use Performance series to exchange data between the two systems. 10/16/2003	Aeries now has the ability to load SAT and AP scores into the College testing table (CTS). This is available through the Import Fixed Length Files form. You can use the SAT load to import files since 1997. The AP test recently changed it's record layout for the 2002-2003 year of testing, as such there are 2 separate file layouts.

10/10/2003	We have just created a new form "Pull ENR From Another Database", that is available in the District Database version of Aeries. This form will allow you to pull enrollment history (ENR) records from another DST-database. The form is also available for client/server as "Pull ENR From Another Database/CS". This form can not only be used to fix an error with prior years ENR-records in the current DST-database, but could be used to get ENR-records into the current year for ALL prior years the school has Aeries databases available! As long as a DST-database has been created and updated for the year in the past, those ENR-records will be available to be pulled into the current year! This will allow you to have as many years of Enrollment History available in Aeries as you possibly can…

10/3/2003	Grade History - A new table (GRH) in Aeries to store grade reporting data otherwise lost when creating a new grading period (credits, citizenship, work habits, absences, tardies, attendance totals and comments. The mark is also stored). The Grade Reporting Cycle has been modified to include "Copy Grades to Grade History", "Display Grade History" and "Print Grade History by Student". Users WILL be reminded to roll GRD into GRH when creating a new Grade Reporting period, if they have not already done so!

10/3/2003	Aeries now has the ability to log the updating of critical data in a separate log database (a table for Client Server users). There is a new form that allows security users to choose what events they would like to log. As an example, you can turn on logging for transcript (HIS) modifications and Aeries will log: the user, when the change was made, the old value, the new value, and other pertinent data. We have added 7 forms or processes so far, and we will be adding more in the coming months!

10/3/2003	Create CSIS Data Files now handles the Fall 2003 Extract. Some changes have been made so please review the latest changes in the CSIS Fall DSR as well as the Aeries documents that have been sent out to CSIS districts. This form has not yet been converted to handle AeriesCS. That change will be coming soon.

9/19/2003	Courses Form – has been modified to be (800 x 600) and fields have been rearranged for readability. Two additional fields have been added for CSU Elective (CRS.CSE) and CSU Honors (CRS.CSH). Also, and most important, the definition of use for the CSU and UC Elective and Honors tags has been changed to require a value be placed into each Course record that meets the latest definition of CSU or UC Elective and Honors fulfillment.

9/19/2003	Aeries now has the ability to maintain STAFF data in the district database. There is a new form "pull and push staff data" available in the district software that will let the district pull in all of the staff data from each school site, make the necessary corrections, then push the data back out to each site. Along with the changes to the staff form, this will allow for easier management of staff data.

9/19/2003	Students & Student Enrollment forms – Added logic to the Add function that will update the new STU-record with the Students Last and First name as soon as those fields are input, instead of waiting until the Enter key is pressed. This will help to prevent a new STU-record from being deleted by another user, and showing “record deleted” across the form. Also, additional safety checks have been added to warn the user that when they click on delete, that they are about to delete the first student in the file, not the one they had just tried to add!

9/15/2003	Off Grade Courses is a new form to show and update the new OGC table. This table is designed to store those courses for a school that may be taken outside of their normal grade range (like in grades 6-8) and could be in a student's Course History and should be counted as a regular course for certain purposes. Users can specify if a course taken in Jr. High should be counted for UC/CSU eligibility, count for Graduation Requirements, show on Transcripts, or count in GPA.

9/5/2003	Content Standards Report - There is a new report available to print out the content standard scores from the California Content Standards Test. This report has many printing options and can be run from the Student Test Scores Form "report" button.

8/28/2003	A new version of ABI has been shipped. It includes a new process for updating ABI with new versions and provides for support for linking Gradebook Assignments with Standards. 6/27/2003	Standard Based Grades History - We have released a new feature that will allow schools to keep historical Standards Based Grades information in the SBH table.

6/4/2003	We have implemented the new larger forms throughout Aeries. The larger form size will allow us to add additional fields, tabs, and/or increase the number of records viewable on our forms. Over time, all forms (including the Control Panel and each "cycle" form) will be modified to the new larger size, as appropriate modifications/enhancements are made. As always, customer suggestions are welcomed. The new larger form size is designed for a screen resolution of 800x600 or higher. Aeries forms will no longer support screen resolution of 640x480. However, the smaller version of selected forms will be renamed with “/OLD” appended to the title. These forms will still be available for use for a short period of time, but no enhancements will be made to the “/OLD” forms.

4/24/2003	Student Achievement Test Results - Added several new options to the setup form to allow for more flexibility when printing this report. New features such as selecting any field from the testing table, date ranges, and choosing more than one section at a time were added.

4/9/2003	Grade Reporting has been enhanced to include up to 12 marks! All of the Grade reporting programs have been modified to allow marks M1 - M12, show Tardies (as well as Absences), and period Block. Also, the Grades and Grades/Large forms have been modified to show more of the Course Title and Teacher Name, as well as only show the marks that have mark definitions defined!

2/7/2003	AERIES now has the ability to load SABE scores into the testing table (TST). This is available through Import Fixed Length Files and is the SABE01 record layout. Because the SABE record layout has not changed in the last three years, you can use the SABE01 format to load in previous years of data.

1/29/2003	We have added two new imports to the Import Fixed Length Files form: CELDT for the 2002-2003 format and the ACT test.

1/10/2003	CAHSEE Test Results form was modified to match the most recent CAHSEE test results record layout. Note: Aeries will allow data to be imported from any of the CAHSEE files to date!

1/6/2003	Students form - We are no longer copying the current student's picture file before it is displayed, which results in a much faster display. We have also added an option which will change the method pictures are displayed. The default method is "Clip" which means to NOT change the size of the photo, just put as much as will fit into the picture. This works fine for small photos, but can cut off part of larger photos. Selecting the "Zoom" method reduces or enlarges the photo to fit into the picture frame. This may result in a poorer quality photo, but one that does fit the frame.

1/6/2003	Students form/New - This is a new larger students form being tested for users with a monitor resolution of 800x600 or above. There is room for additional data on the new form, and your suggestions for this added data are welcome.

12/13/2002	The STAR Pre-ID Process has been updated for the 2003 STAR record layout and rules. There have been several changes in the new PRE-ID data, so you should check over your data in the PRE table very carefully. The STAR PreID Audit, Error, and Summary reports have all been updated to the new requirements and are now formatted to enhance readability. There is also a new report called Print Students Continuously Enrolled that will assist in populating the new "Counted on CBEDS Day and Continuously Enrolled Since" fields.

12/5/2002	Modifications have been made to the Create CASEMIS Student File macro/function to 'pad' the Special Ed OutReg (out of Regular Class percentage) and Infant Service Duration fields with leading zeroes, as CASEMIS now rejects these values if they have spaces instead of leading zeroes! The default dates and output folder name have also been updated to the 'current' ones.

11/19/2002	We have added the ability to print multiple sections and multiple test strands when running the "Print Student Achievement Test Results Cluster Scores by Section" report.

11/7/2002	Period Attendance Form - Added logic to check day tags (MST.MM-MST.MF), A/B Days (MST.DY and DAY.AB), First/Second half of term (MST.DY) and track vacations (DAY.T1-T6). Will only place dashes where a class meets on the actual date (depending on above criteria). Displays "OFF TRACK" on track vacations. A new option (Utilize A/B Days) has been added to the Schools Form to allow schools who are set up as A/B Days to identify this to the system. Note: if you are using ‘standard’ days (every kid goes to every class every day) this option and these modifications are NOT for you!

11/7/2002	We have added a Letter Log Table. The Print Absence Letter to Parent (Daily, Period and CAR), Print Tardy Letter to Parent, Print Fee Letter to Parent, Print Textbook Fine Letter to Parent, Print Textbook Letter to Parent – all will update to the letter log table (LTL).

11/7/2002	Transcripts/New form - new larger size transcripts form being developed and currently in the testing stage. Client/Server users will get this form from the Students form. Other users can try it on a test basis for now. Comments and suggestions are solicited.

11/7/2002	AERIES.MDB/MDE - Now contain ALL reports. SCH.MDB/MDE - Now contain ALL forms (NO reports). This makes the two databases more evenly divided, and should extend the life of the Access 97 version of Aeries for some time…

10/8/2002	The Colleges form and all CSU/UC Eligibility Reports and functions have been modified to support the new 2003 Admissions Requirements. The Courses form has been changed to display the new UC/CSU A-G Requirement Codes. This update (10/8/2002) will automatically change all F codes to G and all G codes to F in order to comply with the admissions requirements for Fall 2003. Please be sure to go into databases from Last Year so that your CBEDS/CSIS report for Graduates qualifying for CSU or UC will be correct. For detailed information about the changes please download and read this document.

10/8/2002	Create CSIS Data Files in the DST software now has the ability to Create and Load the CSIS Identifier file for the entire district. It is not recommended that an entire district be extracted for identifiers at once. This functionality is designed for extracting all new students throughout the district on a monthly basis as is recommended for CSIS Identifier Maintenance. The identifier process has also been cleaned up to allow for including No Shows and Graduates in spite of not having any attendance enrollment information. The Fall Extract now extracts all Pre-Enrolled classes so that they will be counted in specific enrollments in CBEDS.

10/4/2002	CAHSEE Pre-Identification Form - There was a logic flaw in this program that has been fixed! If a student had taken the CAHSEE test multiple times, and ever failed it, that student would have been added to the PreID file with a 3 (taken and not passed) in both the P1 (English) or the P2 (Math) under CAHSEE Prior Test Experience in the CAHSEE Pre Identification form. We are now ONLY placing a 3 into this field if the student has never passed that particular test! If you did not receive the e-mail informing you of the procedures to make sure you are extracting the correct students, please contact support@aeries.com.

9/24/2002	In preparation for CBEDS day, a new field has been added to the STU-table: STU.CIC (Counted in CBEDS). This field will be updated after the final CBEDS Enrollment by Grade report is run. Other CBEDS reports will look at this field, and optionally include only the tagged students. 9/13/2002	Elementary Grade Reporting has been replaced with Standards Based Grade Reporting. The new Standards Based Grade reporting system allows users more flexibility in the defining of Standards as well as Report Card setup, and will have an interface with ABI for grade input.

8/28/2002	We have removed the API calculation reports: Print API Analysis and Print API Growth Report. As Aeries was never able to accurately duplicate the State’s calculations, we have decided not to try! We have also removed the API.MDB (and GRADES.MDB) from the UPDATE99 (2K and XP), as neither is used any longer. Note: this means that the UPDATE99 (or UPDATE2K/UPDATEXP) password protected, self-extracting executable file(s) will ONLY contain 14 items!

8/21/2002	The 2002 STAR Import program is now complete. New fields have been added to the TST table. The California Standards scores that came with this year's STAR data is now stored in a new table called CST. A form accessible from the Test Scores form will be coming soon to display that information. In addition, updated procedural documentation should be available in a few days.

8/12/2002	The ABI Gradebook has gone through a major structure change. If your school is using the ABI Gradebook, implementation of the 8/7/2002 or later version of Aeries must correspond with the implementation of the newest version of ABI (8/7/2002 or later). The changes to the Gradebook should put the ABI Gradebook on par with other major online gradebook vendors.

Entries After 8/12/2002
	The STAR test results form now warns a user if they try to load in a 2002 file. Note: We have JUST received data files with test results for 2002, and although the record size is the same, the file itself is quite a bit different than last year! We hope to have the necessary changes completed and ready for release within the next few weeks…

	Students and Student Enrollment Forms - If your school has data in the STR (Streets) table, when adding or changing an address, Aeries will automatically break down the address, and search for a match within the STR-table. Warning messages are given if the address is not found, or is within another schools boundaries. Upon a match, the following fields are automatically populated: City, Zip Code/Extension, Grid Code, and Next School! If you are using a STR -table and the address does not match, Aeries will now open an input form with a dropdown of Streets starting with the first letter of the address. Note: the Streets form is available for entering/modifying STR-records. Data conversion of existing data is also a possibility…

	A new form "AeriesHR interface" has been added. This form will allow users to add and update information from their Aeries HR software into the STF table. Also, the import Fixed Length Form has a generic load for the STF table from 3rd party products. This was created for districts participating in CSIS, who may not be using Aeries HR.

	The 6/20/2002 version of Aeries included a change that inadvertently caused the automatic update process to stop working. This problem has been resolved in the currrent version.

	Modified the CAHSEE load process based on the new 2002 data file format. The form still has the ability to load the 2001 data! Also we have renamed the form to: CAHSEE Test Results.

	Output CASEMIS Student File Module - has been modified to ask for reporting period being processed. Based on this, different default date ranges and destination folders are selected. Also, Suspension data is limited matching with starting and ending dates. Also added better totals…

	We have changed the CELDT Pre-Identification Form to match the new 2002 record layout.

	This update includes a new Fitness.mdb. This is a copy of the State of California's database with a new table layout for the 2002 testing year. Aeries Physical Fitness forms will extract into this new format, as well as ask the user to input and or verify certain data the State is asking for, that Aeries may not store (like County Name!).

	The District Database Update process has been modified to allow the option of NOT including pre-enrolled (STU.TG = "*") students. Also, large districts can select to compact the DST-database during the update process, to keep the size of the database manageable.

	Students form and all student related forms - Inactive students have a colored border around the outside of the form. This color can now be customized according to the status tag, by coding the color in the code table for STU.TG, under N1. The available colors are 0-yellow (default), 1-Red, 2-Blue, 3-Green, 4-Magenta, 5-Orange, 6-BlueGreen, 7-Purple, 8-Gray, 9-Black. For example, to make all pre-enrolled students have a blue border, put a 2 under N1 in the code table for STU.TG of asterisk.

	Students form - Added Next Track (STU.NTR) field. Updating to this version will add the STU.NTR field, as well as automatically populate it with the value in STU.TR! Any changes made to the Track field will prompt for permission to change Next Track.

	Scheduler - Modified logic to process Next Track field (STU.NTR), when scheduling for Next Year.

	There is a brand new Secondary Users Manual available on the Downloads page under the User Manual category! This manual is to be used in a working environment by Secondary School Staff. It is very "visual" and full of pictures and diagrams, to help you quickly learn about any Aeries function. These manuals are different than the "Reference Manuals" which are more in-depth than the User Manuals. It is all in Word 2000 format, and can be printed in color or black and white. The color version is gorgeous!

	Note – This version will add a counter field to the HIS table and will possibly take a while to update your database with this change. If your school has a large HIS (Course History) table, please set aside enough time to allow this update to complete. In the near future, the TST and other student related tables will get a new Sequence field to allow the system to uniquely identify each and every record in the database. The TST table will not be changed on this version but it is a good idea to get this version so both the HIS and TST tables will not be changed in the same update.

	CELDT tests can now be imported into Aeries. Refer to the detailed changed for specific information The Language Assessment Data form now shows CELDT as the 2nd tab. This data is actually stored in the TST table, but if a user has permissions to update the LAC table, they will be given permissions to update the CELDT records through this form without having to have update permissions to the TST table. Also, from the district database, changing records using this form will automatically make the same changes to the TST table in the actual school's database as well.

	A SABE Pre-Identification program has been added to Aeries. This will allow you to create a pre-ID file for the SABE /STAR 2 test using the SABE Pre-Identification form.

	Transcripts can now be configured to show specifically just the College Entrance Tests or Standardized Test Scores your school wants. You can use the Define Tests to Print on Transcripts form to detail the tests you wish to print.

	Aeries can now store infinitely many College Entrance Tests. SAT I, SAT II, ACT, GSE, AP, etc are now stored in a new tabled call CTS. Aeries is no longer restricted to storing a specified number of these tests.

	Two new fields were added to the SSD (Supplemental Student Data) Table. They are: TGC (Testing Group Code) and TGN (Testing Group Name). They can be used (optionally) for PRE-Id processing. If populated, their values will be placed into the Group Code and Group Name fields in the PRE table.

	The CAHSEE Pre-ID process has now been completed. There is a new form called CAHSEE Pre-Identification Form (in both the SCH and DST databases) that is used to guide the user through the CAHSEE Pre-ID process.

	The December 2001 CASEMIS Extract has been completed.

	The STAR Pre-ID Process has been updated for the 2002 STAR record layout and rules. The STAR Pre-Identification Form will now automatically populate much of the Pre-ID data when loaded. There have been several changes in the new PRE-ID data, so you should check over your data in the PRE table very carefully! There is also a new Macro (Update or Replace XRF) that will update or replace your existing XRF-table records with some of these changes.

	The Special Ed forms have been modified to allow data entry of new fields required by the State. These fields will be automatically added to your Schools (or District) database with this update. There is also a new Macro (Update COD-table with latest Special Ed Codes) that can be run to update your COD table with the latest code values for all (State Required) Special Ed fields.

	Schools now have the option of selecting Decile Ranking, instead of standard ranking. All forms and reports showing Class Rank have been modified to show the selected rank.

	A new form and report have been created to assist users in reporting information for the Carl Perkins III report.

	The CAHSEE test can now be imported into Aeries. The form HSEE Test Scores will allow you to import, match, and update these scores. This process can be done from a school site of from the district office.

	The scheduler has been enhanced to allow real split-week scheduling. In the past, only two sets of classes could be scheduled together, such as Mon/Wed/Fri and Tue/Thu. Now any day of the week can be scheduled with one or more classes meeting on other days of the week. Six new fields have been added to the SMS and MST tables to denote the actual day of the week the class meets. Each represents a day of the week, and is a yes-no field, denoting whether the class meets this day. These fields also appear on the Master Schedule and Scheduling Master Schedule forms. The old Days field remains, and will continue to be printed on locators and schedules. It is not used by the scheduler, which now uses the new six fields. This update will automatically populate these fields based on what is now in your Days field. Schools should make sure the new days of the week fields are correct prior to scheduling.

	A new program has been written for tracking Scrip. Scrip Stores is a new form that is used to identify available stores and track the percentages. Scrip Purchases is a new form where Scrip purchases by students are tracked. There is a new report called Print Scrip Summary that will print Scrip purchase data in different formats and sort orders. The new tables used are SCP (Scrip Purchases), STO (Scrip Stores), and STP (Scrip Store Percentages).

	Copying data from last year's database form was not copying over many newly added tables including TTC (Table To Copy), SSD (Secondary Student Data), STF (Staff), and many not widely used code and student related tables (BSD, CHI, EMP, RPP, RUN, WGM, ACT, AUT, PGI, PGM, RAL, RJN, and WPT). This form as well as the update student data forms now copy these tables.

	Students Form - modified new field: InterDst (STU.IT) to pull drop down values from COD-table. This will allow users to use for both Inter and Intra district transfer students.

	Supplemental Form - Modified logic to size fields with drop down lists by size of field - NOT all the same (wide) size! Will also NOT place fields or headings under scroll bar - in effect chopping them off! Also, added control tip and status bar text for fields.

	Eagle Software has received the 2001 California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) record layout. An import program should be available as soon as districts begin getting their files back in the middle of August.

	The Elementary Grade Reporting program has been beta tested and documentation is currently being prepared. Watch the Downloads page for this new documentation coming soon.

	The Billing program in Aeries has undergone some radical changes lately. A new Billing Statement report has been written as well as programs for keying in check amounts, tracking payment schedules, and mass billing students.

	Aeries will now import the 2001 STAR file. Use the STAR Test Results form to import, match, and update your school's SAT-9T scores. The record length did not change this year, but the field order did. Two new test types have been added to the record. They are California Standards Tests and California Performance Standards. These tests will be imported into the TST table with a Test ID of CST and CPS. The district version of Aeries now has the ability to easily push your STAR, TST, SCS, or STU data from the district database to all of your schools. Documentation will be available shortly describing in detail the procedures to importing your STAR test scores.

	The Repair Indexes function now repairs all indexes in the database regardless if the index is being used or not. This will make every school's database run slightly more efficiently. The 7/17/2001 version will make the necessary index changes to school databases.

	The Macro: "Create CASEMIS STUDENT file" will now create an ASSESS.TXT (Alternate Assessment), as well as STUDENT.TXT, INFANTS.TXT, and SUSPEND.TXT. Other changes were made for the current (6/30/2001) reporting period as well - please refer to the detail revision notes for more information.

	Transcripts will no longer print a student's Social Security Number stored in the SUP table. If the option is chosen to print Social Security Numbers, the transcripts will print Social Security Numbers from the STU.SS field. If your school has not moved Social Security Numbers from SUP to STU, you should do so very soon using a Query Change statement.

	A new scanner testing program is available for downloading as a separate MDB. It is in SCANTEST.MDB on the updates page. Opening the MDB will start the scanner testing form. Place one of the seven (48 channel) scanner sheets supported in the scanner and press Scan. A color image of the sheet will appear on your screen, with the marks that were read. You can switch between any of the seven sheets at any time.

	The Access 2000 and 2002 beta versions of Aeries have been updated and completely enabled. If using either of these versions, you will not be able to update your current Access 97 version System.mdw. If you wish to acquired a 2000/2002 version of the Aeries System.mdw you may obtain it from Eagle Software Support. Please call Support if you would be interested in piloting the Access 2000 or 2002 version of Aeries.

	District Language Assessment form now allows the Student's Lep/Fep (STU.LF) field to be changed if the user has update permission to STU and LAC. When changed, the value will be automatically pushed out through the WAN to the school's live database if it can be found.

	Aeries has enabled its customers to use 3-character state standard ethnic codes. In addition to this, the Students table has had 5 new multi-ethnicity fields added to it. If a school wishes to convert from their old 1 character ethnic codes to the new 3 character state standard codes, they can use a new form called "Convert Ethnic Codes to State Standard."

	In the district software, Print Students Enrolled more than n Days is a new report that allows users to identify students who are enrolled for more than a certain number of days this year. This report will read every student's enrollment records (ENR table) and determine the number of days enrolled by looking at the appropriate school's calendar. This report will catch students who "jump tracks" and go over 180 days of enrollment.

	For Special Education (CASEMIS) - added a new Alternate Assessment Data (CSA) table. Added a new field: Include? (CSE.IN) - so users can tag records to NOT be included for CASEMIS reporting! Also added Control Tip text for every field that is required for CASEMIS reporting in Special Education (CSE) and related tables (Assessment - CSA, Discipline - CSD, Infant Services - CSI, and Suspensions - CSS).

	The Discipline form now has a button that will print a letter containing information about the current ADS record. Schools can create as many different Discipline Letters as they want and the process works similar to the Suspension Letters program.

	Due to many new reports added lately, reports starting with "Print Class…" and "Print Progress…" have been moved from Aeries.mde into Sch.mde. Only districts customizing Aeries need to worry about this. Please download the newest customization instructions
