History
Since opening in 1995, Eagle Software has successfully implemented the Aeries Student Information System
in over 350 California public school districts and education agencies becoming the state's most
popular SIS software. Led by industry pioneer,
Jerry D. Lloyd
, our unmatched experience in the development, implementation, and
support of California K-12 SIS applications enables us to provide superior and cost-effective
products and services. Aeries is constantly enhanced to include new features and functionality to
meet the needs of California K-12 education.
The founder and president of Eagle Software is Jerry D. Lloyd. Labelled "the father of the modern SIS"
he is the creator of numerous student information systems dating back to the 1960's including the first nationally successful SIS.
Mr. Lloyd remains the chief systems architect for Aeries and draws on over 40 years of SIS design experience to make sure
that Aeries continues to lead the industry in school and district service.
Customer Support
An integral part of Eagle Software's solution is Aeries customer support.
Our support staff consists of many people with strong backgrounds in California public education as well as
software support. They have been employed by the institutions they support and understand the day to day
dynamics of K-12 education at a school, district, or county office of education. The experience of using
Aeries in similar K-12 job responsibilities is a unique and effective customer support model for our industry.
California Focus
Because of Eagle Software's focus on California education, Aeries is designed to support K-12 environments.
These include: elementary, middle, and high schools plus continuation, alternative education, and charter schools.
Aeries enhancements respond to the changing requirements established by the California Department of Education
such as CSIS, R30, CBEDS, CAHSEE, CELDT, Aprenda, STAR (CAT-6), CST, CA Physical Fitness, and other
state and federal reporting mandates.
Eagle Software continues to demonstrate leadership in state reporting technology, and includes all related
modifications to Aeries as a part of our client's annual support maintenance.
Comprehensive Solution
Aeries is one integrated software system and contains the comprehensive functionality needed by
school and district administrators for successful student information management results.
It is a superior tool which allows complete and
immediate access to student information: by district, individual, class, school, or grade. Aeries also gives
teachers, administrators, parents, and students controlled access to student information via a
web browser interface. Aeries can be implemented centrally, using a SQL database, or distributed
to each site. This offers schools and districts a choice of utilizing an
Aeries Web-Based or Local Client front-end. Aeries' flexible implementation maximizes an IT staff's
effectiveness while minimizing maintenance time.
