Eagle Software is constantly updating the On-Line Help system that documents the AERIES™ software applications. The AERIES™ On-Line Help is extremely easy to use and provides detailed information about the AERIES™ Student Information System for both the Secondary and Elementary applications.
The On-Line Help has different for Secondary and Elementary. Some screen and report examples may be the same for the Secondary and Elementary unless the applications are totally different. For example, the Control Panels for the Secondary and Elementary schools are completely different so the screen examples are different but the School Calendar is identical so they have the same example.
The left hand side of the AERIES™ On-Line Help screen contains a table of contents for all of the topics available. At the very top of the screen there is a 'Hide' button. This option will 'hide' the table of contents and change the button to 'Show'. The table of contents will not be displayed until the 'Show' button is clicked. The right hand side of the screen displays the different types of information available. For instance, the Reference Manual gives more in depth information and the User Manual gives instructions on how to use the Aeries program.
There are features added to the AERIES™ On-Line Help to assist with navigating throughout the information available. One feature is the capability to "jump" to another area to locate more details about the option. For example, notice the underline and different color of the School Calendar heading displayed below. By clicking the mouse on the heading the screen will "jump" to the topic to provide in-depth details in regards to the option displayed. After accessing this information the heading will change to a different color as an indication that this topic has already been displayed.
The calendar form displays each day in the current school year, and a code denoting whether it is a school holiday. The calendar is used for attendance accounting.

Help there are also buttons that display that access
different areas of the On-Line Help. Click the mouse on the button below
and the screen will display the Introduction
to Aeries
There is also a button at the top of the screen that displays 'Back'. This button is used to return to the previous screen displayed.
