Locate Functions

The Locate Functions are used to locate and display any record either by browsing in the file or locating it by a particular record number or name.

 

B - Backward - The Backward function displays the record preceding the one currently displayed. Click the mouse on the Backward button or type B on the keyboard.

 

G - Get - The Get function is used to select and display a certain record. Click the mouse on the Get button or type G on the keyboard. A small window will display to enter a number or name. If a number is entered, the record will be displayed unless the number is invalid and an error message will display. If a  name, or any portion of a name is entered, the first record nearest the one entered will be displayed. The Forward and Backward functions can then be use to locate the appropriate record.

 

F - Forward - The Forward function is used to display the next record in the table, in number order. Click the mouse on the Forward button or type F on the keyboard. The next record in the table will be displayed.
