3/9/2010Create CBEDS OPUS Files, PAIF Extract has been adjusted to merge the job assignments from all schools into a single record. This is a result of a conversation with the CDE and is what they are expecting for staff members with assignments at multiple sites. Also when extracting staff who work at the district level, the full 14-digit CDS code is now extracted.

3/5/2010Students form – The new “Get” form now allows the use of the arrow and page keys. Also last names that included apostrophes are now able to be searched. Removed Social Security Number from the list of available fields. It will also delete saved settings that include the SS field. Fixed issue with not being able to Get a student if a correction ([Esc] or [Backspace]) was made while entering data. Also, had potential to show "#Deleted" in certain lists after using the Get, fixed!
 Students - Secondary Student Data (SSD) tab - the "Schooling in the US" field has been re-labeled to be "US Schl < 3 Yrs" and changed the group from "Emergency Immigrant Ed Prg" to "SNOR".
 Print Staff PAIF Report (SCH and DST) - the report was showing trailing zeroes (instead of blanks) as part of the CDS code when the Staff primary school was zero. Removed credential from the report. The Position Status was only considering the values from the dropdown (1,2,3,4). Now it will also honor T,P,L,O if they are being used in Aeries. Any other value will flag the "Other" box.
 Create CBEDS OPUS Files (DST and AdminCS) - the program has been updated to flag Hispanic as Y or N. The layout allows blanks, but users get errors when submitting the data. Also the extract was showing trailing zeroes (instead of blanks) as part of the CDS code when the Staff primary school was zero. The Position Status was only considering the values from the dropdown (1,2,3,4). Now it will also honor T,P,L,O if they are being used in Aeries. Any other value will be extracted as "O". The layout was modified (now on version 1.1, Feb 12, 2010) and the credential number was converted to a filler. Removed credential from the extract.
 AdminCS - Upload Data to Client Server Databases - when adding User Defined tables, was inserting an invalid "SC" field to SchModel, fixed.
3/1/2010C/S – The Control Panel was not always refreshing when changing from Elementary to Secondary school or vice-versa, fixed!
2/26/2010Aeries Control Panel – has been completely redesigned with a fresh new look that includes new selection buttons as well as a new appearance to the background of the form! All existing options such as the shortcut keys, quick launch, etc. will still continue to work exactly the same with this new version.
 To ensure that Aeries and Access can always be closed quickly and completely, we have modified the logic on the “Exit Aeries” button to ALWAYS close Aeries and Access, even if the "Fast Exit from Aeries" option has been disabled. In order to close Aeries without closing Access, users who turned off the default option must close the Aeries Control Panel without using the "Exit Aeries" button.
 Students form - created a new "Get" form that will give more flexibility when searching for students. You can now select which fields from STU display in the columns on the form to help with selecting the correct student. It also allows filtering students by any of the fields selected on the form using the desired criteria. The district version allows searching by school code and student number. Settings are user-defined and can be saved.
 Aeries Variables and Aeries variables for Current User - the 'New Lookup' option has been replaced by the 'Old Lookup' option. By default this option will be deselected. The setting is no longer stored in Eagle1.ini; instead, it is stored in the USO table.
 Print Staff PAIF Report (SCH and DST) - new report based on the most recent layout from 01/29/2010. Compared to the official layout, the report features an additional field to display the most recent credential number. There are five options for which the report can be limited.
 Create CBEDS OPUS Files (DST and AdminCS) - the program has been updated to create the PAIF extract according to the new layout from 01/28/2010. An option has been added to select the 'PAIF Information Day' which will default to 3/01/2010. A message will display after the file is created with totals for the number of records loaded into the file and the number of records that could not be loaded.
 Civil Rights Data Collection Options - added an Info button to the form and a label stating that the program does not yet comply with the 2009-10 requirements.
 Query (SCH and DST) - added ability to link the Academic Plan tables (APL and APC) to the Course table (CRS), and Academic Plan Course Requests table (APC) to the Students table (STU).
 DST (C/S) - Aeries Variables - added an option to "Nuke Cache on Exit". This option allows increased security for off-site work stations and laptops.
2/19/2010Create CALPADS Extracts - The FAR/FRM extract was extracting a student as currently in NSLP even if the eligibility or participation dates were before the current school year or before the current enrollment period, fixed. Also, during the ODS Audit process, if CALPADS had records that started AFTER the Start Date in Aeries, but ended AFTER the End Date in Aeries, nothing was being done to those records. These records will now be flagged for Deletion by the ODS Audit / Reconciliation process. Also changed the SENR and SPRG extracts in the Enrollment Update process to never use the "R" Transaction when processing a prior school year. Also adjusted the SENR file in the Enrollment Update extract to not use the "R" Transaction Type for records that Started in previous year.
 Supplemental Attendance Programs - added logic to allow double-clicking on a session to open the Supplemental Attendance Sessions form to that session#. Also added logic that double-clicking on Staff ID will display the sessions Staff ID(s) and name(s).
 Supplemental Attendance Sessions - added logic to the "Copy" button to allow Dates and Staff to be copied along with Session and Student data. Enabled "Change" button on Staff & Students tabs. Added a "Drop" button so that the "Delete" button can be used for deleting Students (ATA), the Drop button will simply put in an End Date (when on the Students tab). When adding a record without pressing "Add" was causing errors on the "Add Dates" button, fixed. Also added logic to ensure Program ID is entered before allowing save of new record. Also added logic on "Program" button to open to the current Session's Program code, and on the "Data" button to open to the current Session. Students tab - added tabstop to Reason code (ATA.PR) and removed tabstop from the Status Tag (STU.TG). Also added logic to sort descending on dates.
 Supplemental Attendance Data - disabled Section, Teacher (Elem) and Class ID. This data should be updated from the Supplemental Attendance Sessions form. Program Name wasn't displaying, fixed. Added logic to sort descending on dates when a student displays more than once in either list (Attendance or Students). Also, don't allow "Sign-In" on dates a session doesn't meet! Added logic on "Program" button to open to the current Session's Program code, and on the "Sessions" button to open to the current Session. Also unlocked Date field and now sorts by date descending.
 Print Supplemental Attendance Audit Report - new report that prints all ATD records without corresponding ATA records (i.e. Attendance without an Enter or after a Leave).
 Print Supplemental Attendance Class List - added an input form including grouping and limiting options on Session, Section (or Teacher in Elementary schools) or Class ID. Added a date limit, and logic to only include students enrolled on that date. Also widened start and end times. Also added logic to ensure user has correct permissions to run the report.
 Print Supplemental Attendance Class Roster - report was not including inactive students who were enrolled during the reporting date, fixed. Added an input form including grouping and limiting options on Session, Section (or Teacher in Elementary schools) or Class ID. When grouping by Class ID or Section/Teacher, show the start and end times based on multiple sessions and list student attendance on one line rather than once per session. Added the option to Sort and Page Break on Participation Reason. Also added option to print Minutes, Hours or Days. Also created a new "10 Days" report, that will print Supplemental Attendance for 10 consecutive Attendance days, not Calendar days. Also added logic to ensure user has correct permissions to run the report.
 Print Supplemental Attendance Report - new report similar to the traditional Print Monthly Attendance Report that lists all students within selected sessions for a given date-range. Includes options to group and limit on Session, Section (or Teacher in Elementary schools) or Class ID. Additional options to select Participation Reason(s) to combine with Blank codes, select Participation Reason(s) to exclude from the report, and report Attendance Units in Minutes, Hours or Days. Report also has the option to include YTD Totals, signature line and Sort/Break on Participation Reason.

 A new field called "Class ID" (CID) has been added to the TCH, MST, and SMS tables for use on the Elementary Classes, Elementary Classes for Next Year, Master Schedule, and Scheduling Master Schedule forms. This new field will be used to identify different teachers and sections as an individual "Class". The Class Size Reduction Reports are being adjusted to honor the Class ID field.
 CAHSEE Pre-Identification Form (SCH and DST) - If a student did not have TST records and was flagged with a Y in LAC.ELP (English Language Proficient) the PRE.RST field was not loading a Y.
 STAR Pre-Identification Form (SCH and DST) - if an elementary school created the Pre-ID and teacher name was more than 20 characters there was an issue when the program tried to update the group name. Also, some long addresses were being split incorrectly into the second address field. If a student did not have TST records and was flagged with a Y in LAC.ELP (English Language Proficient) the PRE.RST field was not loading a Y. There was a 'related record required in SUP table’ message that occurred only if the PRE table was empty and the school's high grade is less than 7, fixed.
 Import Fixed Length Files (SCH and DST) - When importing results other than CELDT09, there was an 'Invalid Use of Null' error after the load completed; fixed. This issue did not affect the data loaded.
 Attendance Leave Form - the form was only updating the Exit Date in ENR. Added Exit Reason and Next School.
 Discipline - copy process; if a user cancelled the copy after having selected students, the record was still copied; fixed. Also, the grade copied was from ADS. Changed it to use STU.GR. On the student selection box, the student can now be selected by name.
 Read Period Attendance Verification Sheets (all) - form had the potential to give "could not update, currently locked" errors since the 2/5 update, fixed!
 C/S - Students, Class Scheduling, Student Class Schedules and Graduation Requirements - forms had the potential to give permission errors to users without update permission to the PFT table, fixed.
