Introducing Our New Director of Customer Success!

We are excited to announce our new Director of Customer Success, Ben Gaines!

Ben, who has his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Social Justice from University of California, San Diego, comes to Aeries with experience in K-12 education as a teacher and principal. He was previously the principal of Rancho Minerva Middle School in Vista Unified School District.

Ben brings customer success experience through developing a district success team with the Summit Learning, part of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Additionally, he has start-up to mid-size customer success leadership experience as the VP of Success for Actively Learn, Achieve3000, and McGraw Hill.

As Ben begins this new position, he says his initial goal is to learn: the product, the customers, and the processes. His goal is to enable his department to be as customer facing as possible.

“As a former school leader and daily user of Aeries, and now customer success leader, the mission of Aeries is what initially drew me to this company. I desired to be part of a family owned company on a mission to build intuitive and innovative tools that empower communities to advance student success. I am eager to be part of the building blocks for a strong customer success team to build lasting relationships with our customers,” says Ben.

He is most excited for the chance to build on the work started and grow the Customer Success team to best support our customers. And of course he’s also excited to meet all of our customers and build strong relationships!

Lara Clickner, Vice President of Customer Experience, shares “Through our selection process, and during his first month with us, Ben has demonstrated that he consistently operates in a manner that is customer-centric, forward-thinking, and in a manner that reflects the real and changing needs of schools and districts.

Ben and his team are eager to engage with our customers to ensure they are able to use Aeries products effectively and successfully, are ready to smoothly transition to the amazing experience of Aeries NextGen, and are happy with the level of service they get as Aeries customers. Our customers will be able to count on the Customer Success team as trusted advisors who understand and are ready to support their SIS usage and student success journey.”

Outside of work, Ben enjoys playing soccer and football with his four sons. He loves to run and Peloton to unwind. Ben is passionate about social justice, and enjoys supporting and working with the education non-profit he co-founded in Ensenada, Mexico, and also serves as a board member.

We are excited for everything that’s in store for the department, and can’t wait for Ben to connect with our great customers.
