Flex Scheduling – Traditional Bell Schedule

If your school has a traditional bell schedule using period numbers 0-9, then this session should meet your needs. Topics to be discussed include defining basic Flex Periods and Class Calendars, using the Staff table to replace the Teacher table, and defining Custom Bell Schedules. The Flex Periods and Class Calendars will be linked to sections in the master schedule, replacing the period, block, split term, and the day tag fields. The setup of the Class Calendars to replace the Block Schedule Calendar will be included.
Flex Scheduling – Complex Bell Schedule
This session will focus on creating Flex Periods and Class Calendars for Complex Schedules. Types of schedules to be discussed include Odd-day/Even-day schedules, A-day/B-day schedules, and Rotating Period Schedules. As time allows, additional variations of Bell Schedules will be included.
Elementary with Primary Class

This session will discuss details associated with an Elementary School transitioning from both a Traditional Elementary School setting, where students are assigned to Teachers on the Demographics page, and Elementary Schools with Traditional Master Schedule (Elementary w/ MST) to using Flex Scheduling and Primary Class Tracking. Topics to be discussed include defining Flex Periods, Class Calendars, and Sections; use of the Staff table instead of the Teacher table; Daily Attendance with a Flex Master Schedule; and identifying the Primary Class for establishing the Teacher of Record for each Student.
